12 lipca 2018 roku minęło dokładnie 78 lat od dnia, w którym Adolf Hitler podpisał dekret o przebudowie urbanistycznej Poznania. Najistotniejszym założeniem planu, było stworzenie najdalej na wschód wysuniętej rezydencji Hitlera, w Zamku Cesarskim. Przebudowa miała potrwać do końca 1941 r. Wtedy już całe miasto miało mieć germański charakter.

Do dyspozycji Hitler miał mieć całe pierwsze piętro, które wcześniej należało do cesarza Wilhelma II. Najważniejszym miejscem miał być gabinet. Urządzono go w dawnej kaplicy cesarskiej. Hitler do dyspozycji miał podgrzewany balkon, z którego mógł podziwiać defilady. Choć gabinet powstał, nie ma pewności, czy niemiecki dyktator z niego skorzystał.

On July 12, 2018, exactly 78 years have passed since the day Adolf Hitler signed the decree on the urban reconstruction of Poznań. The most important assumption of the plan was to create Hitler’s easternmost residence in the Imperial Castle. The reconstruction was to last until the end of 1941. At that time, the whole city was to be of Germanic character.

Hitler was to have the entire first floor at his disposal, which had previously belonged to Emperor William II. The most important place was to be the office. It was arranged in the former imperial chapel. Hitler had a heated balcony at his disposal from which he could admire the parades. Although the cabinet was created, it is uncertain whether the German dictator used it.
